Plastic Workshop

19th October 2019, 10.00am-5pm

Building Bloqs, 4 Anthony Way, London, N18 3QT

“Aphra is a very good workshop leader, informative, friendly and helpful”

Join internationally renowned artist Aphra Shemza in this one day workshop to learn how to recycle and reform common waste plastics to create superb decorative materials that can be used for creative projects.

Leading on from her project Solutions for a Sustainable Art Practice, Shemza invites other creatives to learn the skills she developed whilst on her three month artist development program, supported by the Arts Council England.

During this one day class, you will learn how to melt and compress LDPE (bubble wrap and plastic bags) and HDPE (milk bottles and food containers) to create sheet material which can be used in a variety of creative ways. You will learn not only how to recycle the plastic but also how to cut and shape it too.

Only 6 spaces available!
